This is Snake. Otacon, do you read me? I didn't think I'd be dropped off somewhere so... weird looking. Wasn't I supposed to protect Big Boss's corpse? And what about Raging Raven? Big Mama's badly injured, and I don't know how long she'll last at this rate... Anyway, that aside, I might as well inform you of my location. I appear to be in a small town, and my clothes are... Hnn... Not exactly what I had in mind for wearing. I don't have any of my gear, not even my codec, so I'm stuck with this weird looking thing. Apparently, it's called a "Poke Gear". Hell if I know, all I managed to figure out was how to write and talk with it. I guess that's good for starts. Oh yeah, I, uh... I found a weird looking egg outside in the grass while I was scouting the area. It started to rain, so I brought it with me. It's kind of big, maybe about 30cm tall and 25cm wide. It's got triangles and circles all over it, too. I've never seen an egg like this before... I wonder how it tastes.

Calm down. I don't know about any insurrection or system, but I'm traveling with him to keep an eye on him. He hasn't even tried to hurt me yet. I'm a civilian, he doesn't have any reason to. He knows basically nothing about me, and if he tries to attack me I have Kotai and the others for backup.

Think about it, Snake. Wouldn't you rather know where Liquid is and what he's up to rather than have him running around unchecked?

[Grumbles and sighs, the video drooping somewhat to the egg in his shirt, though it's also somewhat visible since it's so awkwardly big.]

Heh. Trust me, Snake--I know what I'm doing. ...it's okay. I was a little nervous at first, but I can handle this.

It's huge and I thought about eating it. But then I got yelled at, so I'm not gonna eat it anymore.

I wouldn't eat it if I were you. Looks like something's probably going to hatch out of it.

[Presses his head against it, the video going around to his room, then back to Snake.]

... Hnn... To be honest, I have felt a little movement from inside.

Yeah? Seems like everything here hatches out of eggs...pretty strange.
