[Since it's still raining, Snake's just sitting on a chair, having set the PokeGear in front of him so it could see both him and the awkward egg. He was holding it on his lap, polishing it with a warm cloth. But his face doesn't look calm, instead... he's perplexed.]

... hnn...? Oh, recording...? Hey.

This egg. What's inside? What the hell's a Pokemon? And why the hell are sheep coming out of eggs? Someone at least explain this to me. The rain's still pouring outside, and I'm trying to keep this... egg warm and whatever. I don't even know where to start. I've never been good at this mother hen stuff.

[Thinks a moment.] Oh right... What does it eat...? I mean, if it hatches... All we have in this house is water, milk, eggs and bread... And I don't think it'll want eggs when it hatches...

This is a... strange place. [He glances at his Sneasel.] I think I recall reading that my Pokémon eats eggs, although he thankfully doesn't seem to be terribly interested in yours.

............. [... Just gonna... hold it closer.] Have any experience in CQC?

[... Hmm. He wasn't even trying to intimidate you, you know.] Close quarters combat? [A pause.] Perhaps. Why do you ask?

[is protective of his egg now that he can't eat it himself.] No reason.

[Leans back in his chair and sighs.] Hnn... This rain's a pain in the ass.

[That was a very strange question to ask for "no reason".]

Quite. I have been stuck in this town for some time, and it seems I will not be getting out of here soon.

I've been here a day at best... [Shrugs.] The rain's not about to let me leave.

Truthfully, I only arrived yesterday as well. [Sigh.] May I take a seat?

[Watches him, then gestures to the bed nearby.] Help yourself.

[Sits on the bed, looking with curiosity at the egg. His Sneasel doesn't move at all.]

I suppose whatever is in that egg will be thankful to you, once it hatches.

... Thankful? [Raises a brow.] Why?

Living beings typically appreciate having someone who cares for them. I presume that the creatures in this place are no different.

... [Looks at the egg.] Hnn. I guess. [grump grump. Looks at the Sneasel.] What's that?

[Looking expressionlessly at Sneasel.] My... "partner", allegedly. A Pokémon called Sneasel. [A slight smile.] I have chosen to call him Weasley.

... Weasley? [Looks at it and leans back in his chair some more.]

Yes. [No, he's not saying why.]

I was told that Pokémon usually get along with their partner, but Weasley seems not to trust me very much.

[Meanwhile, Weasley's just all... "Don't mind me, just sharpening my claws over here".]

[Heather leaned forward a little to peer at the screen. The eggs was pretty, but not familiar.]}

Uhhh... nnno, 'fraid I don't, sorry. I haven't seen many of those eggs. ... Just the one my friend hatched. ... It was one of the ones with the sheep inside.

... It looks kinda like an Easter egg. Maybe it'll be a rabbit. S'hard to tell in this place, to be honest.

I don't know, but I can tell you that's exactly what happens.

[ and said sheep who came from egg is in Rise's arms and blinking curiously. ]

[Well, Snake, have a dirt-covered little boy that is nonetheless impeccably well-dressed appear on screen to stare at you curiously.]

You're right with the motherin' thing - ya sure don't look like the type fer it.

[He can be rather blunt.]

Ah-- I'm not sure what it'll be, but if you need help when it hatches, I'd be more than happy to lend a hand.
