Hn. I've been doing some research of my own... The townspeople talk about a Guardian who lives in this forest... ...Could that Guardian be a Pokemon?

Uh Why are you doing army training, Snake. I don't think there a military in this place.

Maybe not, but there are skills I learned back in my old training that could be useful here, too. You never know when you might need them.

Do you mean skills like always be alert, survey your surroundings, look for any & all exits, and other basic survival stuff.

Yeah, those are just the basics, though. But when catching and training Pokemon, they're pretty useful.

......So do wild pokémon ambushing you or do you ambush them instead?

I've studied their ambushing tactics, and I've managed to ambush them a few times. It really depends on where you are, the direction of the wind, the time of day... All of these things come into play. Pokemon have a very acute sense of smell, so it's important that if you want to ambush them, to smell like the area you're in.

SO that what your doing right now, making you sure you smell like your surrounding.

Hey, I'm going into the Dark cave soon do you have any advice. Other than stuff about the ledges.

Something like that.

Try to avoid stepping on large boulders, keep a Water Pokemon with you, and really try not to make loud noises. The noise will echo throughout the cavern and disturb quite a lot of Pokemon.

Thanks, but does it really have to be a water type cause all I have on me is a ghost pokémon.

... Well, water types are strong against rocks, so...

I have a level 9 misdreavus and level 1 vulpix. I'm hoping to get a rock-type in the cave for the gym challenge.

They're all over level 30. You're going to have to train harder.

Level 30. That would explain why people get stuck in violet for so long. Training won't be easy but it is doable.
