[The video feed flicks on, showing itself to be in Ilex Forest. Looks like Snake must be taking his sweet time to get to Goldenrod this time-- or his back really does hurt that much. Whatever the case may be, the video turns to look at Snake, but... There's nothing there.]

Hn. I've been doing some research of my own... The townspeople talk about a Guardian who lives in this forest... ...Could that Guardian be a Pokemon?

I've studied their ambushing tactics, and I've managed to ambush them a few times. It really depends on where you are, the direction of the wind, the time of day... All of these things come into play. Pokemon have a very acute sense of smell, so it's important that if you want to ambush them, to smell like the area you're in.

SO that what your doing right now, making you sure you smell like your surrounding.

Hey, I'm going into the Dark cave soon do you have any advice. Other than stuff about the ledges.

Something like that.

Try to avoid stepping on large boulders, keep a Water Pokemon with you, and really try not to make loud noises. The noise will echo throughout the cavern and disturb quite a lot of Pokemon.

Thanks, but does it really have to be a water type cause all I have on me is a ghost pokémon.

... Well, water types are strong against rocks, so...

But I don't have any water types. Just a ghost-type and newly hatched fire type.

You only have two Pokemon? What level are they?

I have a level 9 misdreavus and level 1 vulpix. I'm hoping to get a rock-type in the cave for the gym challenge.

Yeah I want to fight Falkner, what level is his pokémon.

They're all over level 30. You're going to have to train harder.

Level 30. That would explain why people get stuck in violet for so long. Training won't be easy but it is doable.

The first badge I picked up was the one in Goldenrod.

Wait Goldenrod, is it easier to get a badge there.

You've got to be kidding me.

It's not that it was easier... I was a high enough level after being there for some time.

So Goldenrod gym is harder than the Violet gym. I just stick around violet then.

It's okay Snake, my great great grandfather is still alive and he's even more deadly then my grandfather is.

[This kid's family is huge and trained since birth to be assassins. Which means lots and lots of family issues.

Okay then at least you still have your stealth skills and combat knowledge. I bet you could break a guy's neck without him even noticing.
