SOLIDUS!!
[Standing in the lobby, Snake had practically shouted into his codec to get his brother's attention. He was in a rage... Not only did this man kill one of his allies, he was also the one who organized Shadow Moses. That entire incident... Pretty much what began to tell the rest of his life... and his entire chasing of Liquid.
He wasn't sure what he would do... But he was all prepared in his gear, his m9 in his hand. He was really tempted to just take out a machine gun and blast the fucker away, but... This man still helped him several times here.
Snake's emotions were at war with each other. He couldn't decide which side to take. On one hand, this man practically ruined his life, on the other, Solidus was his brother.]
SOLIDUS, COME OUT! I'm in the lobby!

SOLIDUS, COME OUT! I'm in the lobby!
3/3
But he couldn't do it. He really had become some sentimental old fool, hadn't he? Though... He was so exhausted from battle, was there any real reason to blame him? He was losing sight of what he was fighting for, who he was fighting...
He couldn't say that he didn't care anymore. Instead, he cared too much, and it kept him from pulling the trigger. Stupid old fool... that's all he could think of himself as.]

[He stares at Snake in confusion and shock. He had expected to die, been prepared for it the moment he realised he couldn't get up. Why would Snake stop? His brother should have hated him.]
Why didn't you shoot me?
[Slowly, shakily, he reaches out to grasp Snake's arm.]
I don't... understand...
no subject
I don't know... I don't... know, damn it... I should have killed you, but I can't...
I'm a killer, I should be able to do it...
But I can't...
no subject
I... couldn't have killed you either. I was going to... just knock you out... and leave you to come to on... on your own...
[The pain he's in is making him struggle to focus on his words, so he falls silent.]
no subject
...Hnn... Solidus...

[He's resisting passing out with everything he has, but he can feel that blackness starting to descend.]

Snake? Can you hear me?
assuming he even knows where they are.
I'm on my way. Don't move, Snake.
[Of course, when he gets there, it's to the sight of a big, scary, scarred man leaning over his friend.]
\8D/ lol I knew I forgot that part
Hnn... Nn... [He's numb from the pain in his body, including his bleeding arm. He can see Volgin, as blurry as he is, but he hasn't quite noticed Otacon yet.]
Ota...con? [Slowly passes out.]
[handwaves]
[He runs over and falls to his knees.] Snake? Hey, answer me. Snake?
no subject
Calm down! I-it's probably not as bad as it looks!
...Do you have any medical training? I have a little. I've fixed him up before.
no subject
W-what? But what happened? [Panicked, he's looking over his injured friend when he notices-] ...Is that Solidus?
Huh? N-no. I mean, not really. Just some first aid. I'm...not that kind of doctor. We've got to get them out of here.
no subject
...I thought they were going to kill each other.
Listen. I can carry them, but not together, so if you don't have the strength to help carry one of them, can you stay with the other, keep them alive until I come back?
..ohai. Busy, sorry.
[What the hell was going on? What had Snake been thinking going into a fight without backup? And with Solidus...]
Yeah. I'll stay. [Otacon doesn't really want to let Snake out of his sight, but he knows this guy is better equipped to move them without making things worse.]
It's alright! I have patience.
[He picks Snake up carefully, carrying him to the nearest infirmary before coming back for Solidus.]
Do you think you can carry the Snake Arms, or...?
[If not he'll come back for them. He knows Solidus will be unhappy if he loses them.]
no subject
Yeah. I've got them. [He picks them up, in a hurry to get going. They're heavy, but not unmanageable. He'll be fine as long as the infirmary's not too far.]
Thanks. For your help- Um. S-sorry, I don't know your name.
no subject
Ah... I'm Colonel Volgin. [He smiles at him, a smile that is as intimidating as he is tall.] I'd hug you, but... arms are full right now.
This way. [He leads him towards the infirmary.]
no subject
[He follows as quickly as he can. When they reach the infirmary he leaves Volgin to settle Solidus and heads straight for the bed where he's placed Snake.]
no subject
He'll be alright.
[He hopes.]
no subject
[Snake's unconscious and bleeding; he looks like hell. Otacon grabs the side of the bed, feeling useless.]
I...don't even know where to start. Does this place have a doctor?
no subject
no subject
[He looks around. The place looks pretty empty. If there's staff here they're not around.]
...We should at least stop the bleeding.[He's done things like this a few times before, but Snake was usually conscious and talking him through it.]
no subject
[He sounds guilty, as if it's a painful memory.]
Listen. It's a long story, but I can fill you in.
[Worriedly, he goes and fetches some of the medical supplies.]
I can't touch him while he's got bullets in him in case the electricity hurts him, so I need your help.
no subject
[He composes himself as well as he can. Take care of Snake first, worry about all that later.]
Just- tell me what I have to do.
