[Video][Action for those on Route 30] WE'RE ON THE ROAD TO THAT VIOLET CITY

[The video clicks on, though one can definitely hear the sound of fluttering. The Pokegear is being held by Chicken, who is recording Snake's progress a little down below, as he leaves from Cherrygrove. He knew this would be a long journey, but he'd spent days doing things before... He was no wuss. He looks at the Pokegear, and gives a friendly salute.]

Otacon, if you're there, I'm on my way. Sorry to keep you waiting.

[Though, since he'd only just started to head for Violet, it would be at least a week before the robotics expert saw Snake. It's a little hard to see, due to it being nighttime, but Snake doesn't seem to care. Night time meant better sneaking advantages... at least in his mind. Broad daylight gave more openings for others to spot him... If it's night time, he may be able to blend in better.

Though he wished he had his octo-camo. Suddenly, however, he's distracted... as a wild Spearrow suddenly leaps out of the bushes, shrieking at them. Chicken flies in place, as is evident from the Pokegear no longer moving forward. Snake can be seen eying the Pokemon, before grunting-- Sunny hops down from his arms and trills, running up to the wild Pokemon.]

Hnn! Sunny--!

[Chicken calls to the egg pokemon, flying closer to her, the Pokegear focusing on the smaller pokemon's tiny hands... which appear to be wagging from side to side... and suddenly, even though it's a clear night, a large THUNDERBOLT falls from the sky, striking the Spearrow, crispying it in less than a second. The bird coughs and whines, before running away as fast as it could.]

Brrriii! [...... Snake is dumbfounded, and Chicken merely drops the PokeGear, which falls into the grass, right next to the happy egg Pokemon.]

...

What the... hell was that...?

... Yeah. It's probably random.

[Yoinks the Pokegear away from Sunny, who wibbles somewhat, and he starts to check her stats... NORMAL type... CHARM, SWEET KISS, CONFUSION, METRONOME...]

... Metronome... [Reads on it.]

So that attack can simulate other attacks randomly? Interesting... [Though probably not reliable enough to use in battle.]

[Contemplating on this for a while with her head down, she looks back into the camera again.]

Do you think this means that all Pokemon have the innate capacity for many attacks, but are unable to access them through normal means?

[A small pause.]

Have you seen any other Pokemon with this 'Metronome' or is it just your Togepi?

... [Shakes his head, sitting sound on the grass with a grunt and pulling the wibbling egg Pokemon onto his lap.]

Just Togepi... I didn't even know she was capable of this until a few minutes ago...

It's a cute Pokemon, but you couldn't rely on that attack while battling.

[Because that's the only thing Pokemon are good for, obviously.]

I usually don't rely on anyone but myself on the battlefield, but here, my partners are more than just tools. If I'm to survive this mission, I'll need to find all their strengths.

And I know she has many.

That's a lot of faith you have on one tiny little creature.

I see you mentioned a 'battlefield'? Are you a war veteran perhaps?
