[ action / backdated to November 29th ]
[ The tornado had finally stopped, and Snake had been able to leave the center, taking a look around. Downed trees, parts of roofs blown off... Kind of amazing the center had little to no damage.
He could see people working together with their Pokemon, already clearing the wreckage and putting the town back together. Looking upward, the old soldier stared up at the tower. ]
That thing's still standing, huh.
[ He'd seen it in pamphlets about Mahogany Town, since he had nothing better to read while he was holed up in the center. Amazing. It was still raining, though, and Snake didn't have an umbrella with him-- probably not a good idea to bring out Boss.
So, he wandered over to a nearby tree, one of the ones still standing, and leaned against it, patting himself down for a cigarette. He had his octo-camo with him, but he couldn't get the damn thing to work... Must have glitched somewhere along the way, so instead he was dressed in more casual wear. A black turtleneck, camo pants... This was his usual outfit from the last time he was here, too. Not to mention the bandanna around his forehead. ]
Hhn... Where the hell are they... [ Finally, he finds the pack and opens it, realizing there were only two cigarettes left. He frowns considerably. ] ... Damn tortoise...

Well, I guess I'll just be getting shit from your father.

... I mean... I quit before I ever even got here.
... There were just... times when I was tempted to start back up again.
no subject
Yeah. A lot of stress... Not sure if I could cope without a smoke.
no subject
I just did it because everyone was telling me not to.
[Or rather, because all the authority figures were telling her not to. There were people telling her the opposite... most of them being people she should have known better than to want to impress.]
no subject
Maybe that's why I keep it up, too. [ Smirks. ] I'm a little old to be going through a rebellious phase, though.
no subject
[She can't help but grin, though.]
Hey, never too late to stick it to the man.
I could hook you up with some hair dye and cheap piercings if you want.
[Heather you don't even have any piercings]
no subject
[ Gestures to her hair. ] You look like you've given up that phase of your life, too.
[ He gives a bit of a smile. ] Don't really feel like dyeing my mustache to go with my hair. I'll just stick with face-camo.
no subject
But hey, suit yourself.
no subject
[ Snake glances at a waitress passing by and gestures to her. ] Coffee.
[ And he looks back at Heather. ] So what are you up to now anyway? Still collecting gym badges, or is that all finished?
no subject
I've got like... six? Yeah, six.
Shit keeps comin' up.
[She shrugs a little. She's not overly preoccupied with the badges, though she still intends to get them. If only for the sweet discounts.]
no subject
More than me. [ He muses. ] Don't think I want to go through that again... Something about traveling to Violet makes me irritated.
no subject
[She slams her palms down on the table hard enough to make the silverware rattle.]
I HATE that place!
It's like Purgatory.
You go there and get stuck in limbo and never leave.
no subject
Calm down, kid. We're not heading back there if we can help it, right?
no subject
Arrgh!
[VIOLET CITY]
no subject
If I can help it, I'm not going back there. But you never know with this place...
[ The waitress returns with his coffee and Snake places a few coins on the table ahead of time to pay. Lifting the mug, he takes a sniff... The coffee here was ridiculously sweet. Looks like there was no need to add anything to it... ]
Still not getting anything, bones? [ Yep, you're a stick to him. ]
no subject
Har, har.
I was gonna pig out on the breadsticks, actually.
[IF THEY EVER GOT HERE-- oh there they are. She nods thanks to the waitress who brought them before grabbing one in each hand.]
There, see? Boom.
no subject
[ Snake raises a brow and wondered why they hadn't gotten here earlier... Probably didn't want to interrupt their conversation. He takes a sip of his coffee. ]
So what do you have planned for the rest of the day?
no subject
[She gnaws on the end of one of the sticks idly.]
You thought of any decent ways to toughen up your Pokemon that won't kill 'em, yet?
no subject
[ He rolls his eyes a bit, thinking about what was asked of him. He takes another sip of coffee. ]
So far I've just been letting them attack fallen trees and stuff... Or train against each other. Boss is able to handle some of the Pokemon around here now, so I'm not too worried.
no subject
[Snake always had been more dedicated to training than Heather had been. Which is why a lot of her Pokemon haven't even reached level 100 yet.]
no subject
[ Shrugs. ] This place might not be as bad as it is back home, but I should still be ready for anything. [ Smiles. ] I'll still be willing to give you more pointers... Your CQC might be rusty.
