[ The feed clicks on, and Snake is looking pretty damn irritated. The burn on his face has scarred over, so he's not bothering to wear the bandage now, though he probably still should. He appears to be inside the Pokemon Center, if the music was any indication, but where... That was the real issue. The sound of howling wind could be heard outside. ]

... All right... There are some things I need to know.

First, what the hell happened the last three days? According to this thing, it's been three days since I last opened it... And I'm not in Pallet anymore... I'm in another city all together! [ He gestures to the front desk. ] She told me that this is Mahogany Town in the Johto Region. How the hell did I get here? I was in Pallet, dammit.

[ He growls irritably, shaking his head. ] And there's some kind of typhoon happening outside...

Actually, Sir, it's a Tornado.

_{[First she has to worry about getting all her OWN family and Pokemon safely inside, and now there's friends popping up in town too?]

[At least she can count on Snake to stay safe...]}

[ Snake sees Heather's feed and his expression softens somewhat. ]

Heather...

[ That's right, she was in Mahogany Town now, too, wasn't she? Looks like he'd be meeting her after all. He'd have to confront the guilt of leaving her behind. ]

Yeah, I'm here.

--Well I guess I can't tell you to meet up with me somewhere since I don't want either of us to end up blown into the next county.

But once this thing blows over...

[ He hears her trail off, and he can sort of understand why. He... remembered a few strange things, a particularly nightmarish encounter with the kid. As well as... a Togetic? It was a bit blurry now, like most of his memories of this place. ]

Yeah, I think we'll have a few things to talk about.

_{[... She pauses there, rubbing the back of her neck audibly.]}

... Yeah.

_{[She doesn't remember much about 'being' the memory.]

[But she does remember encountering several people.]}

That... she wasn't exactly something I wanted to spring on anybody.

[ If Snake had been just anybody, he would have been more freaked out, probably, but he'd seen all kinds of weird things in his life-time... The Beauties were especially odd. He shakes his head. ]

You weren't kidding when you mentioned shadows back then... I guess I wasn't expecting you to understand me. [ He smiles wryly. ] I realize now I don't really know you at all. [ He nods. ] I'll have to fix that.

_{[She offers up a wan smile.]}

I think I understand a lot more than people usually think.

_{[She runs her fingers through her hair with a rustle.]}

... And most people don't. Know me at all, I mean.

Hal and Liquid... they knew some things. But even they didn't know most of me.

So don't... you know. Feel bad or anything. That you didn't know before.

I don't talk about most of me.

That makes two of us.

[ The only person who knew him that well was Hal... Maybe Campbell, but there were things he didn't tell his former Colonel. Snake didn't like to talk about himself. ]

I don't really like talking about myself... I always try to find a way to avoid it. Other people always have more to say about me than I do. [ Like all that 'hero' BS. ]

I dunno what people say about me here anymore.

... But I'll try to tell you some stuff about myself when we get to meet up, okay? Deal?

[ He nods his head. ]

All right. Deal. Stay safe in this storm, Heather, I'm not going anywhere.

Don't worry. I've weathered worse than this, believe it or not.

[ Nods his head. ]

... Oh yeah. Sunny says to tell you to stay indoors. I told her you already said you would, but... you know how she is.

[ He lets out a laugh at that. Good ol' Sunny. ]

Yeah... I know. Don't worry, I'm at the Pokemon Center, I'm not going anywhere.

[It's a little difficult to hear him with the windows ratting in the background but Latvia sounds slightly distressed about the whole thing as well]

I'd like to know what happened too. I was lucky enough to stay in one place but I saw so many strange things pass through...

Did you have any correspondents in Pallet Town? Maybe you should call them, they could help.

Have you managed to get through to him? Or is the storm interfering?

[Latvia's actually quite surprised that he's managed to get contact anyone at all, but it's not like they're dealing with easily broken phone lines anymore]

I haven't heard from him... I haven't spoken to him since we were in Pallet.

Maybe something bad happened to him too...

If you were displaced then maybe...

I'm just sorry that I can't help you much more than that, Mahogany Town is a fair way away from where I am I think, and I wouldn't want to brave this storm either.

Don't worry, I'm not going outside. The last thing I want is to get swept somewhere else.
