[ Snake's sitting on a dock in Olivine, having spent a long time in this city, but not minding too much. The salty smell of the sea kept him motivated, and it was a nice change from the previous towns he'd been in while in Johto.

Plus, there was that matter of challenging the Gym Leader here, too... But for now, the old soldier is trying his luck at fishing on the docks.

Sitting next to him is Sunny, his Togekiss, who is smiling and idly trilling a song while Snake sits on the edge of the dock, hands holding the fishing pole firmly. ]

Hnn... Not really a lot here except Magikarp, huh.

[ Sunny ruffled her feathers, looking happy. ]

Maybe I'm not using the right bait... [ Turning, he reached into Sunny's feathers and withdrew the PokeGear, flicking it on and placing it near himself. ]

Might as well see if anything interesting's happening somewhere else...

I wouldn't really count on it. Things seem to have quieted down since everyone woke up, thankfully.

I know the hamburger meat here isn't real... poaching Pokemon's illegal, and even then, I'm not sure it'd be a good idea to try and eat 'em...

_{[Well, guess who was wandering around down by the docks, for lack of anything better to do on a mild day?]

[The lone figure sitting out there is one who Heather recognizes more or less immediately as soon as she's close enough to tell who it is-- although.. holy shit, was that Sunny? It really HAD been a long time since she'd last seen him...]

[Biting her lip in a broad grin, Heather creeeeeeps slowly down the dock towards the pair, trying to make her boots as silent as possible behind the sounds of creaking boats and lapping water.]}

[ Sneaking up on Snake was never that much of a good idea, though right now he was in a state of calmness, the gentle sound of water relaxing him. Sunny, on the other hand, was bright and cheerful as always... and when she caught the scent of a familiar person, she turned suddenly, spreading her wings. ]

KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISS!

[ Snake jumped, having not expected that sudden loud outburst from the Pokemon and turned his head. ]

Sunny, what the hell--?!

_{[Yeah, she was mostly just... planning to see how close she could get without being noticed. She knew him well enough to know that actually startling him would probably get her chucked into the ocean.]

[She'd made it PRETTY close-- until Sunny gave her away. She stumbled backwards in surprise, holding her hands up.]}

WHOA, girl!

[ Snake's eyes widened (though not by much) at the sight of Heather. Huh. He hasn't seen her in a while. ]

Heather. [ Slowly, the old soldier moves to his feet, grunting as he does so. ]

Good to see you.

[ Sunny, in the meantime, keeps her wings spread, her expression full of joy. ]

_{[She straightens up as well, grinning.]}

Been awhile, huh?

_{[Sunny was so BIG NOW holy crap.]}

Yeah... I didn't even know you were in town... [ Thinks on it. ] Did you travel here, or... get brought when the flooding was happening?

Dad and I came up here when the flood was going on, yeah.

Then we just sorta stuck around.

Maybe you need a net.
