[ Snake can't help but look at the Photobucket

egg he's found among his things. It wasn't his first time dealing with an egg... After all, both Sunny and Vulcan came from them.

Speaking of Vulcan, the water Pokemon didn't seem to be enjoying Winter too much... So Snake had ~~gratefully~~ placed the Slowpoke inside his Pokemon Inbox. But that wasn't all that was new;

Snake had also caught a Snover... and named it Moses. It seemed funny at the time, anyway. For him, it was nothing religious that gave him the idea, but he didn't feel like explaining his humor anyway.

For now, however, Old Snake is in the Goldenrod Pokemon Center, sitting by one of the heaters and smoothing his glove-less hands over the egg. ]

Hnn... Eggs and I must have a history... This is my payment for never eating Sunny's, I bet.

[ He gives a bit of a smirk before pulling out his Pokegear. ]

Otacon, I've got a new egg.

Oh, that? No, I kind of missed out on that. Didn't go out too much once we got back--oh! That reminds me, I've got something for you. Now that I'm here I can finally give it to you myself.

... Something for me? [ Tilts his head. ] If it's smokes, I got some from Heather.

No, it's not. You're in the Center, right? Wait there, I'm on my way.

[Otacon disconnected, quickly leaving his hotel room.]

... All right...

[ Well, it'd be nice to see Otacon again at any rate. Snake puts the Gear away, turning to face the heater a bit more, egg still against him. ]

[He came into the Center shortly after, egg still in his arms and still being followed very closely by Kotai.]

Didn't keep you waiting, did I?

[ Snake sees Otacon, then the egg... then the GIANT COBRA. He clears his throat a bit, then gives a light chuckle. ]

Hhheh.

Not really. Sit over here. [ He shuffles over a bit to give the trio some room. ]

Sure thing. [He sat down, Kotai still lurking around watching the egg like it was a delicious sandwich.]

Uh..let's see, where is it... [With his free hand, Otacon rummaged through his backpack before coming up with a carefully wrapped box.]

H-here.

[Snake gives a bit of a smirk at the box. It's too small for him to fit inside, however, so he takes it and looks the wrapping paper over.]

You took your time on this, huh...

[Well, waiting was for stealth missions, so Snake begins to unwrap the present.]

[Otacon waited with an excited smile on his face--inside the box was a carefully hand-stitched Togetic plushie.]

[ Looks at the plushie, then tilts his head a bit before taking the doll into his hands, the egg resting on his lap now. ]

Hnn...

Did you make this?

Y-yeah. I made a Growlithe for Heather, too.

Huh...

I didn't know you could make stuff like this.

I haven't tried since I was in college.

[Brow raise.] Surprised you did such a good job. Thanks, Otacon.

... I haven't gotten you anything yet. I'm not really good at this kind of thing... Besides, you probably have every bit of japanese merchandise that could interest you.

Don't worry about it. I didn't make this because I wanted something in return, y'know.

Yeah, but... What do you want?

I don't think there's anything I really want.

Well, if you don't want anything, then that makes my job a lot easier, I guess... [He's still going to sulk.]

If you're going to insist on getting me something, just surprise me. There's nothing in particular I want for myself.

[He laughed at that, seeming unusually cheerful.]

Don't worry about it, Snake. I didn't say you had to sew or do anything for me at all.

Yeah, because it's Christmas and that's what I wanted to do. There's nothing I wanted in return.

Honestly, just making my friends happy is enough for me.
