Meryl, I trained Wolf Dogs back when I lived in Alaska. Those dogs could kill you, too.

Things work differently here than they do in our own world.

[Though really, you think she'd be able to just look in the eyes of a Pokemon she doesn't like. It must not work like that here.]

Catching and training Pokemon is the norm here. People keep them as pets, or have them as battling partners... Trainers battle each other using their Pokemon. I'd rather fight my own battles, but they're a bit more durable when it comes to catching on fire than a human is.
