[ Old Snake's looking a little different from usual... In fact, he's not looking Old at all! His Torkoal is pretty surprised, unsure of what happened to his grumpy old man-servant, and ... Was that a Togetic? There appeared to be one flying excitedly around Snake.

Snake had just been trying to take a self-y, since he had felt better than ever (no more back pains!) and when he'd turned on the gear, he'd started recording. His eyes widen, surprised by the change... This wasn't face-camo, this was... real! ]

[ Snake's outside of Whitney's Gym, leaning against the wall and having a smoke. He's looking as he always does- bundled up (aside from not having a hat on his head) and grumpy. There appears to be a medium sized tortoise crawling around his feet... the thing's up to his knees, and quite warm. As Snake exhales smoke from his cigarette, the tortoise does the same, except from its nostrils and shell.

... It's kind of cute, actually. They both look similar right now.

Snake takes out his PokeGear, leaving a video message. ]

That's one Gym Leader out of the way... Didn't think she'd cry so much when I beat her, though... She nearly trounced me with that cow of hers. Chicken and Sunny finished it, but Solid did most of the battling before Milktank knocked him out.

Anyway... Wasn't bad. I got the Plain Badge anyhow.

... Oh.

My egg hatched... [ He peers down, bringing the video with him to show the Pokemon scuffling around his feet and blowing smoke. ] This guy's a walking furnace... I've called him Marlboro. [ SNAKE YOUR JOKES SUCK ]

I guess if I go back to Violet now, I can take on Falkner... Shouldn't be too bad with Solid anyway. Over and out.

[ Who's that romping about with his Pokemon? Okay, not quite so gayly, but he's leapt onto Solid and trying to wrestle with him. The feed is moving up and down; probably Roy has gotten hold of it.

Wrestling a rock is hard to do, but Snake doesn't care. He's having a grand ol' time, and Solid is wriggling in place.

Despite the nightmare passing, Snake couldn't help but be overjoyed to see his Pokemon again. And the best way he can show it is by play-fighting with them. Still, he intends to talk to Heather and Otacon (maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Liquid) about what happened and get their thoughts. ]

Hnn--rhrhhgh! [ falls onto his back, but he lies there, looking happy. Solid leans down, nuzzling him with his big rocky snout. The rest of Snake's Pokemon team gathers around him, with Sunny leaping on top of the old man and hugging him, cryyyyyyyying. ]

Hey... Sunny... [ pets... ]

[ Suddenly, Mk II begins glowing. Snake looks over, surprised. ] Mk II? [ Mk II is evolving!! Snake watches in amazement... but the end result is a little jarring. ]

... Uh.

... I guess... Mk III?
